The defensive walls from the 14th century
The very well preserved medieval defensive walls, in some fragments 7 metres high, built of broken stone, girdle the city along a regular oval line which is 1200 metres long. It is thanks to its defensive walls that Paczków is known as „Polish Carcassonne“.
The church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help
The construction of the church was started in 1902 by the Protestants. The first members of the group of this religion found themselves in Paczków as early as in 1791, however, they did not build their own church until the beginning of the 20th century.
The Museum of Gas Industry
The Gas Industrial Museum in Paczków is a modern, dynamic and diverse exhibition which perfectly reflects the changing times, rapid technological development and evolution of the gas industry in Poland and throughout the world. This facility undoubtedly is one of the most valuable touristic flagships in the region of Opole.
The parisch church of St. John
The massive building of the church dominates over the city and turns attention because of its tremendous tower and the characteristic decoration of the roof, in the shape of so called ‘dovetail’. The impressive construction is believed to be the most famous fortified church in Central Europe and a handbook example of gothic sacred architecture.
The Town Hall
The Town Hall in Paczków was built in the half of the 16th century, but it has been rebuilt several times and this is why its original renaissance character is preserved only by the town hall tower which was constructed finally most probably in 1552.

The Tenement Houses In Market Square
The building scheme of the Market Square keeps the old proportions and arrangement. The tenement houses present various styles – renaissance, baroque, classical, and even gothic.The oldest of them come from about the year of 1500.
The legendary Executioner’s House
The building shrouded with numerous legends is, apart from the defensive walls and the fortified church, the main symbol of Paczków. The Executioner’s House is a building of a characteristic appearance, constructed in timber wall manner, located in a short distance from Market Square, just behind the Nysa Gate.
